about

This an instrumental version of track i am working on that intends to have a collage of voices, provided by friends, discussing their favourite movie or song, and how they made them feel individually.
This piece of music was recording during the COVID-19 lockdown in the UK. However, while it was a lockdown project, i did not want it be about COVID, lockdown, quarantine, social distancing or any of the buzz words currently being used. This was purely my escape from reality and helped take my focus off of all the pandemic fears and worries. I hope it does for other also. I constructed it to be like the typical format of a movie where you have a pleasant introduction that sets the scene. In this case moody and dark. It then moves to the main part of the track where it is heavy and intense. This is where the action is. Then a soft brooding section in the middle. Things aren't going to plan here. Our movie hero is on trouble, or maybe someone important has died... But we move to emotional, but heavy and intense section where things are starting to lighten. The hero is makes a comeback, before entering the end phase where things look bright and in major key. It's a happy ending.
This is my first attempt at recording, producing and arranging a full track on my own. It's very rough and ready, and amateurish, but i felt it was about time i tried something. BE KIND :)
